Christian Franz, LL.M.

Christian Franz, LL.M. (UK) (Master of Laws in Commercial and Business Law, Norwich/UK) is a lawyer and specialist in intellectual property law. He primarily looks after companies in the creative and advertising industries and in e-commerce on questions of trademark, competition and design law, always with reference to the Internet. In addition, he advises software developers (and of course, their clients) on IT law issues, in particular with regard to contract drafting and copyright law- whereby a focus on web developers ensures that the consulting area overlap and complement each other.

The professional orientation is no coincidence. Already the topic of his master thesis on teh new "Internet right of making available to the public" for authors, which was controversially discussed at the time (academic year 2000/2001)("right of making available to the public", today regulated in Germany § 19 Copyright Act), was carefully chosen. The consistent focus on studies and legal clarkship was followed by many years of legal work in a Düsseldorf's online law firm from the very beginning.

Attorney-at-law Franz participates in the public duscussion on current topics of network law in the form of journal articles, interviews and lectures.
